As we age, collagen production declines which is why our skin gets saggy and more wrinkled. Polynucleotides stimulate the fibroblasts to produce more collagen, leading to firmer smoother skin. They are used to enhance skin quality on face, neck and decolletage and can be used around eyes and on scalp as well. They help with fine lines, dark circles, poor texture and acne scarring.

Depending on your concerns, we recommend 3-4 treatments spaced three weeks apart to achieve best results.

Your practitioner will clean the skin and apply numbing cream or other methods to reduce the pain before administering the injections.

The injections do sting. This is why we apply numbing cream beforehand.

This depends on the method used. Some practitioners use cannulas and there isn’t much to see after this procedure, so downtime is minimal. If small injections are made into the skin, this leaves a little swelling, as though you’ve been bitten by insects. This generally resolves overnight although it is best to allow up to 72 hours downtime. If you’re unlucky and get a bruise or bleeding, then downtime will be longer.

As with any injection, your skin will be slightly red, tender and swollen afterward- it will look as though you have been bitten by multiple insects. You can get bleeding or bruising but this is not common. You should avoid touching the treated areas for at 6-12 hours. Some people experience an itching sensation in the treated area.
