MEET DR SHARON CRICHLOW
ABOUT
Dr Sharon Crichlow is a fully trained Consultant Dermatologist on the GMC Specialist Register. After completing undergraduate medical training at the University of the West Indies in 1998, she did her post-graduate medical training at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth UK receiving her MRCP in 2003. She completed her specialist Dermatology training at University Hospitals of Leicester in 2008. Dr Crichlow then worked as a Consultant Dermatologist at Luton and Dunstable NHS Foundation teaching hospital from January 2009 until April 2017. In this role she was Educational supervisor for the Specialist Registrars in the department. She treated patients of all ages across the full range of skin disease. She currently conducts her NHS practice at West Herts NHS Trust. She now limits her practice to adults and young people of 12 years and older. Professional memberships include the British Association of Dermatologists, Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal Society of Medicine and the Caribbean Association of Dermatologists. Dr Crichlow has lectured, locally, nationally and internationally and has published and reviewed articles in leading medical journals and magazines. As a lifelong acne sufferer, Dr Crichlow understands fully the enormous impact dermatological disease has on a patient’s quality of life. This drives her to provide the highest standards of care and service to her patients. She is a General Dermatologist whose areas of interest include acne, treatment of acne scarring, aesthetics and the problems associated with skin of colour. She is married with two sons. Hobbies include reading, cooking, watching movies and exercising. Dr Crichlow is registered with and recognised by all leading insurance companies and is also happy to see self- funding patients. However she will not be seeing any new Bupa patients. She is fully GDPR compliant - privacy policies can be found on the websites of each of her places of work. Please note that Dr Crichlow does not treat lipomas or cysts.
